About this tournament
The 2026 US Open of Pétanque ran October 10 and 11 at Pier A Park in Hoboken, with 67 doubles teams playing in front of the Manhattan skyline. La Boule New Yorkaise hosted the event, one of the biggest open tournaments in the US.
Dylan Rocher and Jean-Pierre Subrenat won Concours A for the second year in a row, beating Mamitiana Raherison and Rija Ramampiandra in the final. The four brackets paid out $6,900 in prize money.
Saturday was a beautiful fall day, and Sunday’s finals were played in cold rain and wind.

Venue and getting there
Pier A Park

Hoboken,

United States
Pier A Park sits at 100 Sinatra Drive, at the south end of the Hoboken waterfront, a few minutes on foot from Hoboken Terminal.
PATH trains reach the terminal from 33rd Street and the World Trade Center and NJ Transit rail, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail and NY Waterway ferries stop there too. From the terminal, walk north along the river, and the park opens up on your right.
Driving in? Street parking near the park is metered and fills fast on weekends, so a garage near the terminal, like the Observer Park Garage, is the safer bet.
Pétanque in the area
Hudson Petanque calls Pier A Park home and runs open sessions on these courts most Saturdays from noon to dusk. Host club La Boule New Yorkaise plays across the river in Bryant Park from April through September.
